My mom was very nice and cleaned out my closet and desks for me...when I got home, there was a huge pile of old drawings from way back in middle school on my chair. I sat there for about an hour just looking through all of them, and wow, the memories! Some of them were from when I first started drawing wolves, even before I joined deviantArt. I still remember the ones I was really proud of and my occasion for drawing most of the pieces. It was really amazing to see my progress throughout middle school.
My deviantArt gallery does give a perspective into the changes to my art style over the years, but since I never upload little sketches and such, all these drawings on the backs of old paper and in notebooks gave a huge view of my artwork progression. Comparing these to my drawings now was amazing, I've made a lot more improvement than I thought I did, and if that can happen in two years, I wonder how much my artwork will change in the future. Way back in middle school, my huge art project during the years was a comic with a plot that was partially formed in roleplays, partially formed from my own mind, and many of the drawings were of OCs and events from these comics.
Shaky, deep lines to learning how to sketch, then ink, then shade...experiments with anatomy and different styles...they're all part of what my art is today. I acknowledge that I still have a long way to go in the artistic journey.
It may sound weird to be reading this, I suppose, if you're not me, but try it! Find your old art, see how much you've improved. I guarantee the results will be astounding.

That's awesome.  I just wish I actually drew something cool like wolves in the past instead of these stupid bluveys and other blob things.
